Neil Young

Neil Young's sound is a unique, angular and gritty sound that few can replicate. It matches perfectly his ragged voice and looping music. A crucial element is his 1953 Gibson Les Paul he named "Old Black." It is no longer Gold because someone repainted the body before he owned it.

The guitar is extremely modified, has a Bigsby tuner and Firebird pickup, and is rather microphonic (meaning it feedbacks a lot). This is undoubtedly a key component of Neil's sound.
